A Space, Finished in Scent — Lei Introduces the Professional Diffuser Plan

As of December 2025, Lei started to introduce a professional subscription service for commercial scenting — a monthly plan that pairs a dedicated diffuser with Lei’s fragrance oils.( Currently available in Japan.)

Scent is invisible, yet it can change how a space is perceived — often within the first few seconds. This plan is designed to make that change consistent and easy to maintain, without disrupting the atmosphere you have built.

The first few seconds — Where a space takes shape

Mist rising from the top of the Lei professional diffuser in a dark, quiet setting.

Light, sound, materials, and distance: a space is an accumulation of decisions. Scent is one of the hardest to handle within that system. Too strong and it becomes insistence; too soft and it disappears. Uneven diffusion quickly turns unpleasant. A synthetic impression can flatten the entire mood.

Because scent is difficult to quantify and even harder to align on with words alone, many spaces treat it as “nice to have, but risky.”
Lei approached this plan as environmental design — not as an accessory — prioritizing balance, restraint, and continuity over intensity.

What’s hardest to describe often defines the experience

Commercial devices often announce themselves. For people who have carefully shaped a space, that visual disruption is immediate.

Lei began with presence: something natural to place, quiet in the room, and aligned with the visual rhythm of the space — so that the moment it is introduced, the atmosphere does not collapse.

Not stronger — more composed

Scent is not better because it is stronger. What remains is a gentle shift:

  • A calmer tempo in conversation
  • A breath that deepens without notice
  • An impression that lingers after leaving, without needing explanation

This plan is built so scent supports the space — rather than competing with it.

Nine scents, three moods

Lei currently offers nine signature scents. As a simple guide, they can be grouped into three moods:

  1. For quiet, lingering spaces
  2. For focused time with room to breathe
  3. For unwinding — when the body softens and opens

We can suggest a starting point based on your space type, size, and peak hours.Fragrance is always personal; these groupings are only a reference.
Custom scent development is available upon request (additional fees apply).

In practice

OYG Ginza — Members-only boxing & training space (Ginza, Tokyo)

OYG Ginza uses the Lei professional plan to balance two qualities that rarely coexist: the tension of training and the calm of a refined environment. Scent supports that equilibrium quietly, without insisting on attention.
