「DFA Awards」とは香港デザインセンターが2003年にスタートしたDFA賞。
社会におけるデザイナーの役割を支え、アジアにおいてアジアのために影響を与える優れたデザインを称えるために設立されました。
「陰翳礼讃」に通じる日本の美意識をもとに、電源を使わずキャンドルの熱で香りを運ぶアロマディフューザー「Lei00」をはじめ、クラフトマンシップとサステナビリティを融合したものづくりを行っています。職人との共創を通して、素材・技術・発明のすべてに“静寂の美”を宿すことを目指しています。
Rooted in the Japanese aesthetic sensibilities expressed in In Praise of Shadows, we create objects that merge craftsmanship and sustainability — beginning with the “Lei00” aroma diffuser, which carries fragrance through candle heat alone, without electricity.Through close collaboration with artisans, we seek to embody the “beauty of silence” in every element of our work — material, technique, and invention alike.
